Round Table Children’s Wish offer virtual fundraising events such as the Virtual London Marathon and Gaming fundraising. These can be found by clicking the buttons below. Or scroll down to see some ideas on how you can do your own virtual fundraising.
You can help build a bond and form a digital community around you that will bring fundraisers, fun and family together without the need to meet up in real life. All you need to do is select a virtual fundraiser that will suit your circumstances, gather your friends, family and colleagues and get them involved. We can help you set up a fundraising page with JustGiving but it’s up to you to set your own fundraising target.
Whatever you decide to do, you’ll be raising vital funds to grant wishes for children and young people suffering with life-threatening and terminal illnesses.
Here are a few virtual fundraising ideas to inspire you:
Teach an online class – this could be anything like gardening, boxing, yoga, Spanish lessons, sewing – it’s a great opportunity to learn a new skill for a small fee.
Create some crafts – if you’re artistic then this is perfect for you! You could either host online tutorials or post your creation in exchange for a donation.
Bake-off / virtual coffee morning – Combine the two, you can judge on the presentation and then reward yourself with your homemade treat afterwards. Invite friends, family and colleagues to join in and chat over coffee and cake, whilst playing games. Registration fee could be priced at £10.00.
Virtual event – Host a virtual event such as a quiz or bingo night over Zoom and charge guests an entry fee. Invite friends, family and colleagues to join in and watch the excitement erupt.
Get organised – Make space in your home by decluttering and turn unwanted items into a donation. You can sell your goods for free on Marketplace, Gumtree or eBay
Gameathon – Enjoy a games night, whether its computer games, monopoly, cards or charades ask for donations for entry and encourage some healthy competition.
Homeworkout – Climb the equivalent of Ben Nevis on your stairs, or cycle a famous route with similar distance to the Tour de France from the comfort of your own home. Friends and family can motivate you by contributing a donation.
There are endless opportunities how you can create your own virtual fundraising and we’d love to see what you come up with.
