Bumper Golf Day raises £8,979.04 for sick children

Round Table Children’s Wish hosted a bumper of a golf day on Friday 6th August 2021 to help sick children. Thank you so much to all our golfers and sponsors who attended the tournament and made the day an unforgettable experience.

We are delighted we had the highest turnout in recent years, and we managed to raise an incredible £8,979.04!!

Without the generous support of our golfers, we simply could not grant so many wishes for these very sick children. What’s more, with the charity connection of the Round Table Family, we were truly touched by the support from many of our fellow Round Tablers and 41 Club members.

We should have celebrated our 30th year anniversary last year, but the impact of Covid-19 put our celebrations on hold until this year. And what a monumental day it was!

We welcomed 96 very charismatic golfers who played on the 6,904-yard par, 71 championship golf course at the award-winning Dudsbury Golf Club.

The day started with coffee and bacon baps, which was then followed by 18 Holes Stableford competition and amongst this was the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin competition. However, our golfers were out graced on the course by a few special guest appearances of the odd Deer trotting around.

The competition was followed by the wine raffle announcement and then the 2-course dinner, raffle, auction and prizegivings.

Round Table Children’s Wish is extremely grateful for the companies that sponsored the event. The funds raised from the sponsorship will create more magical moments to terminally ill children who deserve a special treat.
