Luke, aged 13, suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He relies entirely on his motorised wheelchair for his independence and mobility.
There is very limited treatment available to Luke which has a real negative impact on his wellbeing as he is very aware of his limitations.
Inclusion is so important to Luke, who enjoys spending time with his friends and family but visiting at other people’s homes can be very difficult and often impossible. This leads to Luke feeling socially isolated and unable to join in.
For his wish, Luke asked to have a large garden cabin that would be completely accessible to him.
We were delighted to grant his wish! Now Luke can have his family and friends over to spend quality time together.
