Billy’s boost through communication tools.
Billy, aged 10, recently suffered a full cardiac arrest at school. Aside from this being a hugely traumatic experience, it has left Billy with long lasting health issues. Billy has lost the use of his right arm, requires the use of a tracheostomy to help him breathe and can now only speak through a specialised valve. This is greatly impacting on Billy’s wellbeing and ability to express his feelings.
To give Billy a boost, we are granting his wish to have his own iPad that he can use as a distraction from being in hospital. This will allow him to communicate with his friends and family, which is fundamental to children’s development. And he can also have some fun playing on computer games! Along with his new iPad, Billy is getting some new headphones to cancel out the noisy hospital ward.
