We have recently granted a lovely wish for Oliver, aged 7, from Hayes in Middlesex. Our Wish Coordinator has been working with the family for a long time. This was to ensure the wish was granted at the right time for Oliver and to ensure he was able to fully enjoy his wish.
Oliver was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia just before his 2nd Birthday in 2014. He has been through so much and as Oliver has Downes Syndrome it put him at higher risk of infection. He spent the first 2 months of his treatment in hospital and continued regular visits throughout his treatment. He is such a happy and cheerful little boy and has missed out on so many things due to his illness. He has lots of hobbies and really enjoys dancing, music and loves his mum, twin sister and big sisters to pieces. The family are incredibly close and Oliver wanted to spend some fun time with them. He loves swimming and playing in the sun and asked if he could go on a sunny island holiday. After some chats with mum we found a great holiday for them in Fuerteventura. The family spent a fantastic week on the island and had great fun together in the pool. Oliver even enjoyed a ride on a camel. The family were sad to come home but have brought back some amazing memories.
